NAOMH KIRWAN
OWNER OF SWAY PILATES STUDIO & PILATES TEACHER

Naomh showed a keen interest in movement and keeping fit from a young age. As a child she was into ballet, modern dance and competitive swimming. Through her teens Naomh was an avid gym goer until she had an accident which caused life changing damage to her back and pelvis.

It was then that Naomh found Pilates through the advice of a family member. Through Pilates she got her body out of pain and strong again. Pilates gave Naomh the opportunity to get back into sport and refocus her mind.

Naomh began training, with Sarah MacLachlann, to become a Pilates teacher committing to an intensive mentorship training programme which included the teachings of Joesph Pilates in reformer 1,2,3, Mat 1,2, Cadillac, Tower, Ladder Barrell & Chair.

She then went onto the USA to do an advanced course in Pilates which gave her unique knowledge of the inner workings of the body.

On her return to Ireland Naomh began working with athletes, introducing Pilates into their regime so they reach their full potential in their field. Naomh has worked with many of the country’s top athletes across a division of sports including golf, rugby and Olympians.

Naomh now works with both individuals, group classes and clients with specific injuries such as back problems, those recovering from stroke, brain injuries and in rehabilitation. Many of Naomh’s clients also benefit from weight loss, gained flexibility and strength as well as mindfulness.
